Delivery & Returns Policy
Please read the following delivery and returns policy. Please note this policy is for purchases made directly with Sofasdirect.com.
Items are usually delivered within the specified time stated on the product information page.
You will be contacted by our delivery company to arrange a convenient time and date for delivery.
Please provide us with accurate contact information so we can deliver your products quickly and without delay.
Day of Delivery:
Please make sure that the delivery team can gain easy access to your property and to the room in which you want your item/s to be placed.
Please ensure that you have measured the access points in which your new item/s needs to fit through to gain access to your property and room. Please note although we do our best to provide you accurate information the measurements given on our items are approximate and may vary slightly.
If the delivery company can not get your item/s into your property they may have no other option but to leave with your item/s. All item/s must go into your property so you can sign for it. No item/s will be left outside or with neighbours etc and may be subjected to a redelivery charge.
Please read below for our re-delivery charges.
Please note, after your items have been delivered into your home you may have minor assembly work to do ie: put the feet on your new sofa or connect the sofa parts together. Some of these actions may need to be performed by persons of average health and ability. Please do not use sharp blades when unpacking your new item.
Processing your order and delivery:
All orders are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if any products you have ordered are not in stock and your order will not be processed.
We will fulfill your order within the relevant delivery lead time we give you. However please note that all delivery lead times we quote are approximate. The delivery lead time starts from the day the contract is formed.
Where your product is being made to order, delivery may be delayed through circumstances outside our control. We will always make every effort to keep you informed of any changes to the expected delivery time.

Deliveries will only be made to home address within England & Wales, Mainland only.
We may be able to offer delivery to Scotland, please contact us before you place your order.
We may be able to deliver to non-UK mainland destinations, for example Isle of Man. If we can, those destinations will be subject to a bespoke delivery charge. (Please contact us before you place your order)
We do not accept orders from individuals from outside the UK.
The standard delivery charge is £69
Additional delivery surcharges may apply for deliveries outside our normal areas as stated above.
Before any delivery is organised you must have settled any outstanding balances.
If your product has a fault when delivered, Please contact us within 24 hours of your delivery.
Unfortunately we are unable to take away your old sofa/s.
If you are not available to take delivery on the agreed day, you may have to pay a redelivery charge. The redelivery charge is the same as the delivery charge paid.
The redelivery charge outside our normal delivery area are generally the same as the original bespoke delivery charge.
Cancellation and Returns Policy:
From the moment you place your order with us you will have a 7 day cooling off period which to cancel your order for any reason. You will receive a full refund for the total amount you have paid within 48 hours of us receiving your wish to cancel. Once 7 days have passed you are bound by the terms in this policy.
If goods ordered have left the warehouse and cannot be delivered due to cancellation a return charge will apply. The return charges are the same as the delivery charge paid per failed or re-arranged delivery and are in addition to cancellation charges.
You may cancel your contract within 7 days of receiving your item/s without giving a reason. You are bound by the terms in this policy and the cancellation period will expire after 7 days.
To exercise your right to cancel you must inform us by email at sofasdirect.com. Your decision to cancel your contract must be written in a clear statement to us, including all your details and item details.
We use only email for cancellations of contracts as it is a traceable method in which to do so.
Please meet the cancellation deadline if you wish to exercise your right to cancel.
We will process any refund to you no later than 7 days after we have received back from you any products supplied.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.
You will have to bear the cost of returning the product: The collection charge is the same as the delivery charge paid and will be taken from the refund amount.
Outside our normal delivery area, the collection charge is the same as the bespoke delivery charge you paid.
You can not arrange to return the product yourself, due to reasonable care in doing so. We will organise collection of any product which is to be returned to us. We will arrange a suitable time for this with you.
If the product you have ordered is made to order these items are classed as ‘bespoke’ and as such, once we have accepted your order we cannot accept a cancellation without charge after 7 days from the time you placed your order. If you do cancel your order after the 7 day cooling off period a cancellation charge of 30% of the retail price you paid will be payable, this does not include any delivery or collection charges.
Order type: Pre-made - If your item is not in stock with our supplier we may have to request for the item to be made and in doing so it will change your order type to bespoke and your order will be subject to the above bespoke cancellation charges. You will be notified at the time of ordering if this happens and given the option to proceed or cancel.
All returned products must be returned to us in its original packaging.
